Round Tubers -Potato Like with No Knobs so Easy to Clean
Found in Maine, Clearwater is a round tuber with no knobs. Found as a chance seedling Clearwater has the most non-artichoke flavor compared to other named selections being very mild with no piney aftertaste. Clearwater's smooth round shape makes it the most potato like in appearance of the sunchokes. The tall plants reach over 12 ft. tall with large trusses of large flowers. The tuber yields are good and the plant doesn't produce long runners making it a little slower in spreading.
