"Fruitful" Variety Grown from Rooted Cuttings-Heaviest Yielding Plants
Smooth Black Gooseberry-Good Yields-Easy to Cultivate-Clean Foliage
The dark purple berries from this species are one of the best of all gooseberries to eat fresh right off the bush. Ripening in July, the berries have to be very delicately plucked from the thorny branches. Good fresh or processed. The flavor is as good or better than any cultivated gooseberry we have tried.
Missouri is one of the most high yielding gooseberries we have grown. All the plants we have at our farm are self fruitful. This year we have grown a selection from rooted cuttings we have called "Fruitful" which has even more capacity for higher yields. It is a mix of 10 selected plants at our farm that have the highest flowering and fruiting. This selection always has clean foliage free of disease staying green throughout the summer season. Quite vigorous in growth will reach 3 ft. tall. Highly resistant or immune to white pine blister rust.
No shipment to ME, VT, NH,CT,VA and much of northern Michigan.
