Kansas is a specific seed selection from Kansas know for its aromatic leaves excellent for tea. Selections could be made with some of these seedlings as there is enough variation in each batch. Good mildew resistance with this strain as well. (But not totally immune in very wet years.)
This species seeds requires dormancy to cause the seeds to sprout. Take the seeds and fall plant lightly raking the seeds into the soil. If you do the refrigerator method, keep in mind to get these seeds need out of the ziplock and into the ground after 90 days. To sprout, add lightly damp canadian peat moss and store at 33F to 38 F for 90 days. Take out and lightly surface sow in a flat of well drained soil mix or plant in good garden soil that is well aerated. Seedlings will emerge quickly in 7-14 days. Let them get started and transplant out in 30-60 days.
