Delicious blue fruit- large tree species

Grows as a single trunk tree. Flowers are pink in bud and when open are larger and hang in long racemes compared to other species. Many named selections come from this cross. Our seed was specifically selected from a large tree in upstate New York with good yields of sweet purple black fruits. Very good quality berries with a mild apple flavor. Fruiting begins in 5-8 years.
