A selection of sunchoke from Germany known for its uniform reddish tubers with excellent culinary possibilities. Has a mild chestnut flavor with little of the typical artichoke flavor. Has been a strong grower with a more clumping type habit. Tubers are very uniform with this selection growing 1-2 inches in diameter. Appears more productive than Clearwater another of our roundish selections. From a culinary standpoint, this one is easy to clean and could be cooked whole.
