Starwhite cluster is uniform in color (hazel) and has a mild, nutty flavor. There are various sizes of tubers from small to medium all with a few nodes. It's not sweet, but has a nice mild flavor with a hint of pine if eaten raw.
This selection produces dense clusters of tubers which are very easy to clean. We discovered this selection in a bed of seedlings at our farm and found it to be high in yield, dense clustering and mild flavor with a crispy clean texture if it is eaten raw. The color is pure white and very clean looking. Many of the tubers are perfectly round. Under cultivation it works well in pots and produces smaller tubers that are easy to use compared to the big ones.
(Ships dormant in spring and fall from Oct. to Dec.and again March to May.)If sold out in the spring or there is a short crop , your order will automatically fall ship in October.
