This Russian tomato is well known for its solid bright red fruit and an upright strong growth habit. This is a thick strong plant that holds all the fruit above the ground making it easy to pick and less susceptible to damage by insects. The fruits ripen late in August and September here at our farm. What impressed us was the almost perfect fruit completely immune to cracking and rather solid density probably good for packing. The flavor was not as good as other varieties but it makes up for it in its ease of production and clean fruit.

Plants are industrial in structure and do not look like most tomatoes except maybe container tomatoes that are dwarf. This selection may work well in containers. |
